I'm River Strumwasser, a current student at Cornell University. I am double-majoring in Environment & Sustainability and Biometry & Statistics and will be graduating in December of 2025 with these two BSs, as well as a minor in Business. I am enrolled in an early credit option for an MPS in Data Science and Applied Statistics also at Cornell, which I will be transitioning to in the Spring 2026 semester, from which I will graduate in May 2026.

I am currently taking summer courses to meet these academic goals, and in the fall I will be a teaching assisstant for two courses at Cornell – CS 1110 (Introduction to Computing: A Design and Development Perspective) which is a course in Python, and NTRES 3330 (Ways of Knowing: Indigenous and Place-Based Ecological Knowledge) under Dr. Karim-Aly S. Kassam. Throughout the past, I have been involved in a variety of summer internships, centered on consulting, laboratory testing, and market research.

My academics have focused on statistical theory and computing applications, as well as sustainable thinking and finance. Through my education, I have developed deep skills in SAS, R, Python, GIS, and more. The team-based environments I've been surrounded by throughout my life have given me additional skills in collaboration, managing team dynamics, and problem-solving. Thus, I am able to blend rigorous technical skills and knowledge with strong communication and collaboration.

If you are looking for someone with skills in statistical computing and/or who can work well on a team, I would love to connect.
